Trattoria di Carlo Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

HORRIBLE! Service was terrible, all our server wanted to do was up sell us on items we had no interest in, Menu is so boring and with no creativity at all I just don't get why anyone would go here more than once. And if that is not bad enough, we were seated by the rudest Host/Owner I have ever seen in my life who sat us in the dining room while he was on his sell phone having a conversation (personal conversation!) .... when I go out to have dinner and spend good money for service - what kind of person in the restaurant business would think that talking on your cell phone while you walk paying customers into the dining room and throw menus on the table was acceptable service. The entire dining room saw it and we were all commenting on the shocking behavior of the host. I would not go here ever again.

Came here on a Sunday evening as a new resident to Oak Creek on the recommendation of a local friend and these reviews. They served Spotted Cow in a Miller glass. Okay, at least it was on tap I suppose. Since we make fresh pasta at home, when we got seated I asked the waitress about the pasta selections. "Do you make your pasta fresh?" "Umm...it depends on the dish. There's one specialty dish that's made fresh, otherwise the rest probably aren't." "Okay. Is the ravioli made fresh?" "...I've never been asked that before. Would you like me to ask?" (It wasn't.) Not asking much for at least the ravioli to be made with some love at an Italian place, but okay. Let's try the pizzas. They're supposed to be a star here. My partner got a margherita and I got one which had sausage and ricotta. The margherita, normally a pizza with pods of fresh mozzarella, was just a regular cheese pizza with some charred basil flakes. My sausage was decent, but the ricotta had the grainy, bland consistency like it was poured from a tub, not the gobs of smooth stuff I've come to like at better places. The crust was in that zone between crunchy thin and pillowy thick that doesn't have any personality, and it was also bland. Reminded me of a microwaved pizza crust. Don't get me wrong, nothing was offensively bad here. It's just not worth eating out for. Time to head back up to Milwaukee for some decent food.

We were very disappointed in this place. The Yelp reviews seemed good but it was just OK. I was with a group of about 12 and most felt the same. I really can't recommend to others and probably won't return. I don't eat calamari but the group I was with ordered some and said it was overly chewy. The mural of painted famous people was pretty cool. The fried zucchini was also just OK. Not completely sure, but it tasted frozen. The service was decent. Nothing spectacular.

Went here as a family get-together after holidays. Made reservations for 8. The minute we walked in, we felt like we were a HUGE chore to these people. We went about 30 minutes early to have drinks at the bar, and the host was flustered. He checked to see if our table was ready and seated us immediately. Then came the waiter- who was soft-spoken, heavy accent and tried to up-sell everything. He even told my husband how much to tip him!!! We had to ask for water- it was just not fun. I guess the food was good, I was so busy feeling horrible, like I wasn't ordering the right things, or that we were in the way. Never again.

I actually worked here when I was younger for 2yrs when I was in Highschool, I am pushing pushing 30 at the moment. The first thing I have to say is the backend is extraordinarily clean for a restaurant. The back of the house is held to the same or higher standards than the front of the house. I remember Carlo on a busy Friday night inviting guests to the back to see the kitchen, I would literally eat off the floor there. The standards he maintains are incredible. The food is excellent as well, I remember rolling meatballs from scratch etc. They put a lot of love into the food, I remember one time in 2yrs a dish went back and Carlo was literally in the back inspecting it to understand what went wrong. Literally sampling off the plate to see if the complaint was legitimate. They do not mess around when it comes to quality. The tirimisu is divine and made from scratch! A must have. You will not be dissapointed on the worst night.

Excellent food, customer service and atmosphere. We eat here and order pizza from them often. My husband and I also had our wedding rehearsal dinner here and everything was great. They did a wonderful job!

If you enjoy cold limp pizza that is delivered an hour and a half after you order it and have the delivery man yell at you about the wait time in your driveway, this place is for you.

FIVE STARS! Not from the area, and looked on Google for a place to eat. It was a little hard to find, you have to enter from the back. BUT IT WAS WORTH IT! The atmosphere is very nice, the service was excellent, the owner very friendly and jovial. The food was outstanding! Very different than your typical Italian restaurant. And the Mediterranean Grill (seafood) appetizer is to die for! It was meal in itself, there was so much seafood in it, and it was better than any I've had ANYWHERE including in Florida - all for $15. HIGHLY recommend Trattoria di Carlo. PS - I guess they're famous also for pizza, but we didn't order pizza. HOWEVER, we saw several go by and they looked delicious and were HUGE!

We have been customers over the years, however had not dined there for awhile now. We decided to go back an old family favorite tonight....Di Carol's. Our food and service were amazing as always. Carlo, the owner is a wonderful person who treats his customers like family. Tonight we celebrated our youngest sons 9th birthday....when he was a baby Carlo walked him around for us and took him in the kitchen so we could eat our dinner. They run the restaurant with customer service as their primary goal. The food is amazing, the environment is very attractive and relaxing and staff will go out of their way to make sure you love your food and have an amazing dining experience. First class place.......love it!

The pizza here is delicious! It is the best pizza place I have found in Milwaukee. Now I am from Chicago so I am a self-proclaimed pizza snob. And I have high standards when it comes to pizza ;) This place however is amazing, their stuffed pizza is delectable! Stop what you are doing right now and go get some pizza!!

One of my faves. Pork Chops Boscaiola - very good, you have to try it. Others in the group had the meat lasagna, veal Parmesan , eggplant Parmesan. All enjoyed and we had a great time. Thanks again di Carlo's.

Great local restaurant. I travel 3 out of 4 weeks a month and I always look for a local place to eat. I sat at a bar table, service was efficient and friendly. Two glasses of house merlot, dinner pasta special including salad and hot bread including tip was $35. Wish I lived here so I could come more often. I will plan on returning when I come back to Milwaukee.

I've been coming to diCarlo for years....I'm talking pre-renovation. I always like the food, can't say I've had a bad experience here. They are great for groups, we reserve the backroom a ton for meetings. They do great full-belly appetizer plates that will really wow your group. I would stick to their pizza or their house specialties. As with most restaurants, those specialties are what they're good at. You'll always leave with a to-go box. Monday's they have a dollar off their fancy martinis. They have a wonderful white wine and X-rated "martini" that is very tasty. My only complaint would be the staff is inconsistent. If you get one of the seasoned members, you can tell who they are-usually older and very Italian. They're wonderful, engaging, etc. But, some of the other staff not so much. That can make or break an experience. It's truly a family business and also really the only place in Oak Creek to take clients. For both of those reasons, in addition to their "pink sauce", I keep coming back!

Great authentic Italian food!!!! Ordered calamari as an app..breading had great flavour. Entrees included Spaghetti Siciliana and Meat Lasagna.....Yumm-O!!!! My boyfriend and I shared both dishes and still had leftovers from each!! Highly recommended restaurant! Note: order was TO-GO and still delicious :) restaurant atmosphere seemed pleasant; will definitely visit for a sit down dinner soon!

We' ve all heard the saying you get what you pay for, well that is the case with Di Carlos. You get more than enough, and while it's not the cheapest it is the best. The decor is perfect to fit the OC ( Oak Creek). Call ahead and request the large walled boths worth the wait. The food quality is awesome!! You will become a regular so workout to make room. Lastly while many places grow to be a success and lose the charm of the founding family they have not. So stop in shake hands with the owners and enjoy Italian food done right in the OC.

My husband & I ordered 2 fish fry carry outs tonight & the fries were terrible. They were very hard & rubbery so we threw them out. I didn't even want to torture the dogs with these. The garlic bread was also very old, stale & rock hard. I normally never complain, but it was so bad I wanted them to know so I called & was put on hold right as the person answered. It was one of those hi, let me put you on hold things without giving you a chance to say anything. I then had to wait almost 5 mins to talk to someone even though it was 9:45 pm. When I finally explained what happened to the manager, he had the attitude "well what do you want me to do about it?" and was not helpful, sorry or anything like you would expect. He just wanted me off the phone. If he had handled it professionally it could have turned the situation entirely around. However, it had the opposite effect & now I can say that we will NEVER eat there again.

Trattoria di Carlo is easy to miss. From Howell Ave. their little sign made it seem like they just did Catering...and the restaurant entrance is completely hidden until you enter their parking lot. It's almost as if the building is backwards, with the front of the restaurant facing where traffic can't see it. Well, that didn't seem to stop the restaurant from being very busy on a Saturday night! They do a good Carryout and Delivery business. But unless you're just getting pizza to go, you just have to dine in to experience this nice restaurant. The bar atmosphere is fun and inviting, so get here a few minutes before your reservation to enjoy a drink before your meal! Trat. di Carlo is a bit pricier than most South Siders might be used to, but the portions are huge, so you'll most likely take home half of your dish. Their menu is extensive! My son devoured his ravioli, my dad raved about the recommended Baked Ravioli with melted mozzarella, my sister loved her Seafood Alfredo and took 2/3 of it home! I tried my mom's Chicken Marsala and the chicken was pounded thin with nice breading, heavenly. My grandma loved her extra thin crust pizza, which she said was better than her previous forays with their "original" crust. The Spaghetti Alla Carbonara had my name on it (yes, my name is Bacon); but there were so many Tilapia dishes, I had to try one! I got the Sammy's Tilapia special, two lightly breaded filets, oven roasted topped with sautéed spinach served atop generous portions of asparagus. That would seem to be enough, but it was also served with a side of Spaghetti Siciliana, which had a nice fresh basil- tomato sauce to it. I WIN! Even my mom liked the Tilapia, which was light and not deep fried. Serve it up with a nice glass or bottle from their extensive menu (glasses start at $5 and bottles go up to $300); and you can't lose at di Carlo! Oh, and the Cannoli! The Pistachio cannoli was worthy of Little Italy. Service from our excellent server Edita, to the many guys that put down or took our plates, was top notch! A great place for a family dinner, a date, or meeting with friends; I hope for many happy returns!

Our family has been coming here since it first opened before Y2K. In the perhaps four dozen times we've been here we have happily never had a bad experience. Best of all the food quality and portions have seemingly remained excellent and huge. Now that I'm Yelping, my wife and I returned hoping for another repeat performance. A day later, I can still hear my stomach saying..."grazie, grazie!" Arriving on Sunday afternoon, we were luckily led to a table next to the only window in the very upscale dark wood paneled dining room. The large room seemly lite by 20 watt light bulbs, provided little light trying to read the several large menus to review. For a few moments I thought maybe it was my new glasses, but first one and then a second voice could be heard commenting on how little light there was. Sadly there went one star right away. I ordered the Veal Marsalla ($16) with a bowl of Chicken Dumpling soup and a side of pasta. The large serving of Veal was covered over with mushrooms and a few green onions. Combined with a perfect amount of wine it made for a spectacular dining experience. Can't forget the large basket of hot delicious garlic bread too. My wife ordered Chicken Ala France ($14.50). The beautiful serving was easily more than one meal. It came with a large house salad, one of the best she said in memory. The Chicken had a perfect blend of lemon and it too was covered with mushrooms. She also had a side order of the delicious pasta. Natalie our waitress was a perfect match for the absolute upscale feeling Trattoria di Carlo offers. She was a constant companion checking on us to see we had everything we needed. Add back one star and this was as good as it gets! Hopefully I have put some "light" back on this amazing gem. If you love Italian, Trattoria di Carlo is worth the trip. In fact, this is one place I'd match against my friend John, the certified Italian chef!

The set up of this place is amazing. The dining room is spacious and beautiful and the pick-up part is very convenient. However, that's about all that's amazing. The food isn't mindblowing as you would expect from the vibe this place gives off and the service is mediocre at best. It's not a great dining experience; it's just...dining.

Great value. Stuffed shells were outstanding. Fried eggplant appetizer is one to try even if you don't like eggplant. Pasta primavera ritolo with lobster, a special, was phenomenal. And the service was perfect - thanks, Mark!

One of my favorite Italian places! Food is amazing and the atmosphere is even better. Every time I'm here people are friendly and welcoming. Not to mention the best calamari and manicotti I have ever had!

Trattoria Di Carlo is one of the best Italian restaurants around. The menu is so extensive it is hard to choose. They have authentic dishes and classic pizza and pasta as well. The restaurant is new and fresh, with warm dark colors. The staff is friendly and the owner is usually around to say hello. I love places that can make pizza crust extremely thin and this is it! The specialty pizzas are worth a try.

Good ambiance and decor. Friendly staff but the Food left much to be desired as I had steak soaked in au jus horribly bland wife had the most rubberized calamari ever it was sent back

Great service, friendly staff, delicious food. We were a large party, with children and they were very accommodating. Everyone ordered something different, so we had quite a variety. The pasta is the best, pizza a close second. The kids devoured the chicken. With the generous portions, we had plenty to take home. Before we left, we noticed the family dining turned to date night couples. Very romantic restaurant.

I haven't tried anything other than the pizza and I have yet to actually dine-in. The pizza is the best I've found on the South burbs so far. There are many different styles to choose from and I have yet to be disappointed. I can't give it 5 stars as I've never dined in.

I had lunch at di Carlo's with an Italian-American friend who pronounced the pasta a bit past al dente, but very good. My Ensalata di Carlo (tomatoes, black olives, asparagus, cucumbers, blue cheese, red onions) was very fresh tasting and excellent. The prices were on the high side and the atmosphere was too dark and gloomy for me, but I would consider other menu choices in the future.

I dined at Di Carlos on a very busy Friday night. Was seated in a mere 20 minutes and I left walking on clouds. The food was amazing (best chicken marsala EVER), the service was spot on, and the dessert. Oh man, the dessert! Great wine too, how could I forget the wine...

  • Stephanie G.

Pizza was really good! Only reason for not giving 5 stars... It took well over an hour to get a pizza delivered at 7:45pm on a Wednesday. Other than that I definitely recommend! The garlic cheese bread was mostly just cheese, not much garlic. I'll probably just stick to pizza next time.

The food is delish and the service is fantastic. We only had one issue where my husband did not receive the sauce for his sandwich on a take out order. He called them and they immediately delivered the sauce to our house! We were so impressed, now that is good service!

This is my go to delivery pizza when I am not in the mood to cook. Lots of options. Thin, hand tossed, even a stuffed crust. The toppings are fresh and plentiful, with a really nice sauce.

Beautiful place inside, Food was ok. I had the Chicken Marsala and the wine sauce wasn't very flavorful. The Calamari appetizer was good though. Garlic bread served with dinner was excellent as well. It wasn't the best place I've eaten Italian but I would try it again. The menu is huge so next time I'll try the pizza.

Favorite Italian restaurant in the area by far. Portion size is large, staff are on the ball, and the food has yet to disappoint. The one drawback is the price, but with what you get on your plate it is reasonable.

The pizza here is hard to beat. I've dined here several times, and ordered delivery dozens of times, and have used DiCarlo's catering for parties. The garlic bread here is "just okay," But everything else here has been wonderful. My favorites are the pizza and meatballs. To die for!

The pasta Siciliana was excellent! Also tried the tenderloin medallions in a garlic cream sauce, forgot their name for it but it was also very good. Came with crisp tender asparagus and other vegetables. Yum. This place is not far from the airport and a little obscure in finding but worth the trip! Beware diabetics and other carb counters, the bread basket is hard to resist! Only reducing the rating one star as I felt the service could have been a little more attentive. They were not too busy on the two weeknights I visited. The service was not horrible, just a little lacking. But not so bad I wouldn't go back.

AMAZING ~~! We hired Di Carlos to cater a corporate event for us, every step of the way my coordinator Amy took care of every thing that was needed, she asked the right questions to make sure she covered all of our needs. On the day of the event the set up and food were perfect we could not have asked for anything better ! I would highly recommend this restaurant to cater any event that you have ! Thank you Amy and Carlo !!!

It absolutely floors me when someone recommends this place over Casa di Giorgio. The sauce tastes like it came straight from a can and I'm pretty sure the mushrooms on the salad did!! I've never had anything there that would make me go back for more (and we gave them plenty of tries!) Anyone can make better Italian food themselves at home.

Excellent food: quality ingredients, skillful preparation and presentation, generous portions. Atmosphere: pretty dark for our elderly party of eight. Service: snippy and argumentative - automatic 20% tip, which she would never have gotten otherwise, may have spoiled her attitude. $4 "split-plate charge" seems unnecessary at these prices (we spent $120).

Di Carlos is one of Milwaukee's best Italian restaurants, by far. Service is great, wine is fantastic and pizza is terrific. The quiet, romantic atmosphere made me nervous to have the kids with us, but they behaved and our very authentically Italian waiter kept our meal moving. By the time we left at 6:15 (did I mention we had the kids?) there were people waiting in every area of the bar and foyer. Get there early and go back often.

I went to DiCarlos for a family get together. The place was nicely laid out and very accommodating to our large group. The restaurant was selected on recommendation from some family members. Everyone raved about the food, however, I wasn't impressed. First of all we had a party of 20 and they only had one waitress working the party. She was overwhelmed with task [not sure if she was inexperienced, even an experienced waitress would have a challenge with 20 people by herself]. I ordered the Salmon Pico di Gallo. The salmon was a generous portion and plated wonderfully on a sizable amount of asparagus. The salmon was topped with a medley of chopped onions, tomatoes, and peppers. The salmon was a bit lacking in seasoning, not sure what it was...just missing some zing! One thing that surprised me was when the waitress asked if you cared for some Parmesan cheese she handed us a glass jar cheese shaker like you find at Pizza Hut. Gosh! I can get fresh grated Parmesan at Olive Garden...but not at a family owned Italian restaurant in Milwaukee...wow what a disappointment. I do have to say that the servings were very sizable...everyone left with a doggy bag. Good place but I don't think I'll be going back there on my next visit to Milwaukee. Hats off to the waitress for doing her best. Tip to the owners...invest in some fresh Parmesan for your customers...I think you can at least keep up with Olive Garden.

My brother and his wife turned me on to DiCarlo's. This is the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. Being part Italian, I know good food and this place rocks. They have a very extensive menu and everything is prepared perfectly. The last thing I had their was the Seafood Arrabiata. The shrimp, scallops and crab were cooked perfectly and so tender and sweet. The sauce, while spicy, was excellent and the serving size was huge. I go to the Milwaukee area once or twice a year and always make it a point to visit DiCarlo's.

Held an Anniversary party here for my parents. Incredible. Incredible. Incredible. Working with everyone to make this a reality is already a challenge to begin with, right? The staff made it simple and the entire process was communicated perfectly from start to finish. Honestly I don't have anything to offer that they can improve upon here. The staff, coordination, food quality and service made this above and beyond 5 stars. If you were to use them for a party I just can't image walking away disappointed. We had chicken marsala, pastas with alfredo, salads, garlic bread, drinks, and above all, a completely memorable, wonderful time that was not marred by any type of bad "anything" whatsoever. I can't thank everyone there enough for making the time we spent there with our party of ~50 people so memorable. They took something special and made it better than I imaged by adding their own quality control to the mix. Everyone at the party commented on how wonderful it was and how impressed they were with the entire experience. Well done!!!!

Di Carlo's has a nice atmosphere- dimmed lights, fancy fixtures- with 2 dining areas and a bar. Their menu features pizzas, pastas, fish, and meat- quite a large selection. They start you off with a basket of warm garlic bread and I also ordered the cheesy garlic bread ($4.50) which is basically just a cheese slice on a piece of sandwich bread, really not worth getting plus the cheese got cold and hardened right away. I ordered the salmon special for $21.95-a filet over couscous and drizzled with pesto. The flavors would've been good, but the salmon was just too dry it was hard to eat. A friend and I shared the Di Carlo special for dessert, a generous helping of fried dough and four scoops of ice cream drizzled with caramel. Reminiscent of funnel cakes, it was good. I went with a group of 45 and we all sat in the back dining area. Some people got very frustrated because they didn't even get their starter salads until 2 hours after others got their entrees and didn't start eating till 1030. The food came out a little cold as well. Overall the food is not good for the price especially, though people do like their pizzas, especially the Chicago style which I've had and enjoyed before. The service can be hit or miss it depends who you get, but large parties are always hard to accommodate.

My husband and I went out to di Carlo's yesterday evening and we were very, very disappointed overall. As an aside: the greeter and server were amazingly nice and accommodating. The server was there in a second if we needed anything, very attentive and apologetic for our experience. My husband ordered the Chicken Alla Marsala and I had the Chicken Fresco. We also had an order of Mushroom Bruchetta. Both of our meals came with soup or salad and a side of garlic bread. Both were $16.99 and the bruchetta was $12.99. Let's talk about the mushroom bruchetta first. The idea was foreign to me, but my husband must have imagined something great and ordered it right away. It came out with 6 slices of baguette topped with barely "sauteed" mushrooms and covered in melted cheese. It did not come with dipping sauce, nor was there anything to moisten the appetizer (like garlic EVOO or balsamic). It was ok, but definitely left something to be desired, especially for $12.99! Our soups came out next. I had the minestrone and my husband had the crab bisque. Besides the crab bisque being red instead of white (odd...) they were both pretty good. Then our entrees appeared. Mine had a squeezed lemon on the side that looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp which was the first thing I saw, the second thing I noticed was that both entrees had fried breaded cutlets (from a freezer) as the chicken. Not grilled, not even hand-breaded. These were straight up Tyson freezer cutlets (or an off-brand...). My meal was VERY, very lemony. The vegetables in it were mushy (asparagus, artichokes (from a can), and mushrooms) and the sauce was oily. I was STARVING so I ate one of the chicken cutlets and some asparagus. My husband's meal was bizarre: again fried Tyson chicken cutlets (2), MAYBE two tablespoons of oily, separated sauce, and a whole crap-load of white button mushrooms barely sauteed. He took two bites and set it to the side. Both meals also came with a side of spaghetti and "red sauce." The red sauce tasted like straight sugar and tomatoes and had no salt or any other kind of seasoning in it at all. The spaghetti was cooked ok. And the kicker - the Parmesan cheese was grated store-bought pizza Parmesan. For a place as "fancy" and expensive as this, I would expect at least some shredded Parmesan and at the most some fresh Parmesan from a grater table-side. After much debate between my husband and I on whether we were going to say anything - I finally brought it up to our server (who was sweet as can be). She said she would grab the manager so we could talk to him. A gigantic man came to our table with a look of pure disdain on his face and asked "how is everything?" - we explained, again, about our food and he came back at us with excuse after excuse. He did not ONCE apologize for our unhappiness and he did not do ANYTHING to compensate for the meal. He actually took both entrees off of the table and sent the server back to us with a full check to pay. When she returned I told her that my husband had not eaten more than two bites of his meal and we were highly dissatisfied and will not return. She went back to the manager and he took off HALF of my husband's meal price ($8.75 or so). We paid and left. TO THE MANAGER (And OWNER): I have worked in restaurants for 10 years and have managed plenty as well. You NEVER go to a table and start in on telling them why they are wrong about their meal. You ALWAYS apologize for the inconvenience. And you ALWAYS compensate! Do you know anything about good business practices? This is why small-business America is failing, because it is easier to go to a corporate business with people who will gladly do everything they can to make sure you return! You just lost as many customers as I can tell about the experience. Also, I don't give two cents about whether "Carlo" is from "Marsala" or not - the freaking meal you gave us was a disaster! I thought we were on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares! Also - Gordon Ramsay, if you're listening - GO HELP THESE PEOPLE. The end.

Nice atmosphere, that gets 4 stars. Good back room for family parties. A family kind of place but still a bit romantic with a dash of chain restaurant. Big menu, all Americanized versions of Italian food. For the price and atmosphere, I expected better tasting food. I did appreciate that each entree comes with a side salad. The garlic bread brought to the table was decent. I ordered cheese ravioli. The red sauce (that's what they call it) was very acidic and lacked herbs. Some basil and oregano would have gone a long way. The ravioli was fatty but flavorless. I really could have been eating anything with an acidic red sauce on it. The texture could have been anything too. Overall I would recommend it as a location for an extended family dinner, but I can't recommend the food.

I ate here with a coworker, for the first time. Decor is fitting for the menu. The greeters were very nice, wait staff just as nice. I ordered from the special menu and to my surprise came an entirely different dish. I brought it to the servers attention he quickly offered to have my requested meal brought out. The dish he brought out was no where near what I ordered. Third time I asked for it to go.. You think I would have looked in the box, to make sure. I did not, as I assumed, after soo many tries that I would be delicious. NOPE!!! I ended up tossing it. To be fair, I will try it again..maybe they were out of the special and I keep hearing raving about this place.

Their food is delicious. I give them that! They have great Pizza's and their pasta is amazingly good. We normally order from Trattoria for delivery but we arent ordering from there any longer. After we had waited well over an hour and 10 minutes, when the delivery guy came to our home, he put the food near a dog to help an older man. Now helping the older man was not the issue, the issue was seeing the dog stick his face inside the bag to sniff the food. That was very disappointing. We arent ordering from here again. Maybe we will stop by but after reading some of the reviews on here, more than likely will not.

We here for the first time tonight and have to say I had an amazing experience! Food was off the charts amazing! We had the Chicago style pizza (takes awhile to cook since it's so thick but beyond worth it!) . We had Alex as our server and he was soo on top of his game and very attentive without being annoying. He gave me a sample of their (giordanno ?) pepper because I wasn't sure what it was and he was super knowledgable about everything including the owner and how things got started! The pizza was phenomenal especially the sauce which lets face it, it's the most important part. By far the best experience and very affordable! The large 14" Chicago with 3-4 toppings and two sodas was about $30 and the slices are so huge we could only eat one each which means there are 6 meals left! The desserts looked amazing and were only about $5 each. This is definitely our new favorite place.

Service was weird the waiter made us pretty uncomfortable. Food was mediocre too bad. The bruschetta was not edible. Food is very pricey for the quality, over 60$ for two for lunch. I used to really like this resturaunt, I'm sad to see how far quality has slipped.

Not even worth giving one star. The place is out of control. Waited 45 minutes for food and still not ready. Is this really where you want to eat.

Picked up a pizza to go because I had some work to do in the hotel room and this would be convenient. Clearly, the pizza was made to order because it took all of 25 minutes from order to pickup. I spent the time sitting at one of their lovely outside tables with a view of the parking lot. Carlo's oddly faces inwards rather than facing the road. So it's easy to miss. When I got the pizza back to the hotel room, it was still warm. Covered in toppings (I chose the farmer's market) and neatly cut in a checkerboard. I prefer triangles, but whatever. Great for taste and great for toppings. Good stuff. I would return.

Ordered delivery to my hotel and it arrived in less than 1 hr. Food was hot and fresh. I ordered the lobster ravioli and side salad, it was delicious! Great for people traveling on business looking for a warm meal. Highly recommend

I fell in love with this restaurant a few years ago and there's no going back to a life without di Carlo. I have never had a bad dish there! I will be honest and say I frequent the meadowbrook location more often since it is closer to my home. The oak creek location offers a much larger menu so when I'm in the mood for something not offered at meadowbrook, it is well worth the drive to go get a plate of amazing food!

Checki your bills when eating here! They will overcharge you, and when you call them out on it, they will not change it or reimburse you. We ordered ravioli. The menus says 12.95. We were charged 16. This is because the waitress asked what soup we wanted. Soup is not included with the meal and they do not tell you. Next, we ordered a meal as a to go. It should hav been $12. We were charged 18, and told since ordering in the dinning room this was the price. Then they also charged for a salad we never received. Also, we got a shrimp salad, and you had to peel your own shrimp!

Best pizza in Oak Creek, I recommend the place if you're visiting and in a nearby hotel. in the airport area and have some time to kill, or if you work in the area as I do. The thin crust is a good choice if you need to feed a group of people with different tastes, it's a safe bet if you get a few pizzas with some different toppings, and much better than chain pizza joints. Dining in, the service is often quite good, but not always, it's a little inconsistent. No bike rack, and like every place else in Oak Creek they close early.

Service was nice, though our waitress had no idea if their pasta or even just the ravioli was house-made. This place definitely seems to suit suburban people who just don't care about "good" food or even know what "good food" is. I ordered a margharita pizza but through some sick twist of fate I was brought a regular cheese pizza that i could barely even see any basil on. It wasn't even all that good; I've had better from Little Caeser's. To add insult to injury, and this is enough of a reason by itself to AVOID this place: I ordered a Spotted Cow and they brought it to me in a Miller Lite glass. Blasphemy.

Wonderful pizza. Lots of spice and ingredients. Reminded me of pizzaria pizza of the 50' s, 60's, and 70's. The ribs were very good tho fell short of the ribs at Lake Arrowhead's Green Side Grill. Pizza prices were not bad tho I thought the main dinner selections were a bit overpriced. Need to try lunch too. Overall very good. Service seemed slow at times but the place was quite busy.

A few nights ago for reasons that still escape me I went on youtube and watched all (three) of rick astleys videos. As our host sat us at trattoria di carlo, he sang the refrain from rick astleys "together forever" and then said "I have no idea why I just sang that." Coincidence? Or something in the Milwaukee county water supply, I ask you? Ok off the 80s music and on to the mozzarella.. I would have never known this place was here were it not for yelp! Within 5 min of the freeway it has a modern italian restaurant feel to it with dark wood and soft track lighting. There is a small courtyard area for outdoor eating as well. The menu is huge. Traditional italian with a lot of seafood variations. It took me a while to settle on the cheesy manicotti which was super cheesy and enough for two meals. We also got the calamari which was some of the best Ive had. The di Carlo special for dessert was like an italian crepe crossed with funnel cake, topped with ice cream and caramel. Yum! They had a nice bar area with mon-fri happy hour specials in the $2-$5 range ( I think) on a sign in the foyer.

Really yummy food and an extensive menu. Not 5 stars because the dining room has something to be desired - outdated and cramped. But the food and service are always very good.

Came here for a shower. Excellent place to have a shower. Service went above and beyond. Food was great and pizza was delicious! The restaurant is closed on Sundays but I think it is because this place is the IT place for private parties on Sunday since there were two showers that day.

I LOVE the pizza here!! We always order the extra thin crust, yummmmmmmmmmy deliciousness!!!!! Di Carlo's is ALWAYS my first stop when I come home for a visit!! We order the extra large so we can continue to enjoy it cold in our hotel room as well. If only they delivered to San Jose, CA.... LOL!!

Awful awful place for steak. I have been here several times and wouldn't have have had bad things to say until tonight. Utterly unacceptable. I was with a group from work, about 20 people MANY bottles of nice wine. The bill must have been more than most people's rent & car payment for the month. I ordered the filet, medium. It came out mostly well with a pinch of medium. It was way too tough so I sent it back and asked for medium rare. It came back WELL DONE. These jerks basically gave me back the SAME steak after dipping it in au jus!! To re-serve the same piece of meat is TOALLY UNPROFESSIONAL and SLAP in the face! And I'm guessing the bill was $2,000 for our group and they couldn't serve a proper steak. The server tried making it up to me with promises that she never fulfilled. And had the nerve to ask if I wanted a THIRD steak. seriously?! No, I do not want a 3rd steak and to be sitting there eating still when 20 other people are finished!!! Then gave everyone dessert ... I didn't eat nor ever wanted dessert and I was the one with terribly cooked meat. Rude. If your people are too incompetent to cook steak properly ( twice ) TAKE IT OFF THE MENU. Or get rid of the line cooks who can't cook. For dinner, I ended up eating my side dishes: asparagus and mushrooms. As for the well done, twice cooked filet - it ended up going home with someone else as Dog Food. This evening was nothing short of insulting.

Don't let the name fool you, this is not a real Italian restaurant. I came in to order carry out and I got the chicken strips appetizer and a large original pizza. It's a good thing my order was carry out because I never would've accepted what they gave me if I was dining in. I don't know where they found the anorexic chickens that they made those strips out of why they had to bake it until it was no moisture left, but I was insulted by what they gave me for seven dollars. I could have gotten real chicken breast strips at any number of fast food restaurants nearby that were far better for less. So we were off to a bad start and the appetizer made me lose my appetite. On to the pizza, I had ordered original crust but there was nothing original about that Sysco bargain crust. I suspect they gave me a thin crust by mistake because it had the consistency of a thick saltine cracker and it was Chicago cut which is usually a hallmark of thin crust. Definitely an inferior product for the price paid. The only place they did okay was on the pizza toppings which were tasty and generous. The meat pizza was loaded with meat although a little light on cheese. Overall a subpar experience. If the price point was closer to fast food I would not have rated so harshly but this place is trying to be a real restaurant and it just doesn't cut it. They might get by in suburban Milwaukee but it would not survive anywhere people care about good dining.

Waited an hour for our meal and then the manager comes to out table to tell us the kitchen totally missed our ticket. Been here several times and service is hit or miss. Mostly miss. Stick with flatbread pizza in the bar.

Great pizza. I recently had their jalapeño poppers and they were excellent. I get pizza delivered from there at least once a month.

Absolutely horrible was at a funeral luncheon. Inadequate staffing, served soda without syrup, luncheon was pizza garlic bread and a tossed salad none if which was ready. We waited almost 45 minutes to eat and a severly understaffed waitstaff. And to top ut off they seated other guests in the room without adequate seating for tge funeral party

We have dined in a couple times for pasta and it was very good. But their real forte' is pizza. We have had carry out pizza many times and it's always excellent. Made from scratch crust and fresh ingredients make their pizza exceptional. You can rely on generous toppings and some of the best Italian sausage you are likely to find anywhere. Expect large pieces of genuine well seasoned Italian sausage. Not the tasteless little rat turd so called sausage from the national chains. The place is large and often fills up on weekends. Weekdays are less hectic. Pizza from Di Carlo is always a treat.

Racism still exist at this restaurant. Mixed couple was told to wait while other people were sat before us. Let's just say we did not eat there.

I though we were in trouble when we walked in and were seated without a wait on a Friday night at 7pm and I was rite. I had the worst pan pizza I have ever had and when you order a dinner the salad is ala carte who ever heard of that. Come on even olive garden gives bread sticks and salad. And our Waiter was so slow and too old hard or hearing maybe the owner or his father grumpy old man needless to say that was my first and last visit

I've been coming here for years and it's quit possibly the best pizza I've ever had. The classic crust on the pizza melts in your mouth and the topping are as fresh as it gets. If your looking to check them out they always seem to have a coupon in the Entertainment Book that's half off on a pizza, but recently they have had regular specials that put local national pizza chains to shame and around the same price! While normally I order take-out, the dining room and bar looks great and would be an excellent location to host some business colleagues.

Di Carlos is one of my favorite places in Oak Creek for pizza. I usually get takeout pizza from here. I love the Chicago Stuffed Crust pizza. It comes with whatever you want inside and the sauce is on the top. Every time I order it, it's fantastic. Whenever I don't feel like a Chicago style pizza I get cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom on thin crust and it's great. I have eaten inside a few times and it is lovely inside. The wait staff is great, decor is nice, and the food has been fantastic. I've tried the lasagna and chicken Parmesan and they were both delicious. If you are in the mood for dinner with the family or a date night, Di Carlos would be a great choice!

Well the pizza is off the charts delicious and among my favorite in se Wisconsin. But the last time we went here (on a Friday night) it took an hour and a half to get our pizza. The drink that I ordered also came back wrong. I don't know if it was super busy or our waitress just dropped the ball. By the time our food came we were the only people in the dining room and we were so tired it was all we could do to get through the meal. Like I said - the food is great but the service needs to be stepped up a bit.

Recommended by the bartender at my hotel. I thought the food was quite good and the ambience relaxing. Lighting is comfortable and brilliant use of soft surfaces to reduce noise. Most interesting is the stainless mesh tubing on the ceiling. Our waitress, Lindsey, made the night though. The perfect amount of attention and as sweet as could be.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
